Development has a special priority at LIFE for the benefit of the faculty knowledge base – and for people and regions in developing countries. With a long commitment to development issues, we assist in ensuring a sustainable and efficient agricultural production, clean water, healthy animals and food safety.

Our knowledge is channelled through:

At present, development related activities at LIFE involve more than 150 researchers, 150 PhD students and 150 MSc students. Among the PhD and MSc students within development related study fields, a large number of students are from developing countries.

Our faculty's research regarding developing countries is integrated in our different departments at LIFE. Activities at different departments can be found in the department profiles regarding developing countries.
